At the heart of our process is a chemical recycling technology that transforms PET plastic waste back into its raw monomers, purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and mono-ethylene glycol (MEG). These raw materials, fundamental in the creation of PET plastic, are recovered from the waste without compromising their quality and purity.
They are fully equivalent to their fossil sourced counterparts, hence they can be utilized by the plastic industry to create virgin quality PET plastic items.
The recycled PTA and MEG produced are then available to be used in the production of new PET products, closing the circular loop and significantly reducing the need for newly extracted oil-based resources.
